TPRC projects do typically concern the relationship of physical properties and composite performance as a function of materials and processing. It is our philosophy to combine sophisticated experimental analyses with multiscale modeling techniques and numerical simulations, resulting in highly innovative and multifaceted project work. Phd candidates and post-docs

TPRC seeks motivated PhD candidates or post-docs with a background in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or Chemistry looking for an exciting challenge in the field of composite materials. Affinity with experimental work and/or process modeling of thermoplastic composites is an advantage. Profound knowledge of the English language is required.

TPRC offers

The assignments at TPRC typically concern a combination of physical modeling (e.g. process modeling of the fiber placement or press forming process) and non-standard experimental characterization. The timeframe for PhD’s and post-doc projects are four and two years, respectively. TPRC’s industrial partners will be closely involved in the project. The following is offered to the PhD candidates and post-docs:
