Advanced Forming of Thermoplastic Composites course
On March 25 and 26, the TPRC is organizing an advanced course on thermoplastic composites. This online course is divided into 2 half-days, Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon. The course offers knowledge on the press-forming process of thermoplastic composites. During this course the ins and outs of the press-forming technology are presented in an interactive setting.
The course participants will get answers to the following questions:
- Process parameter selection based on material properties
- Effects of tool design on manufacturability and part quality
- Influence of blank handling systems on formability
- The cause of process induced defects
- The use of predictive process simulation tools
The Advanced Forming of Thermoplastic Composites course aims at advanced level participants and is well-suited for engineers who are considering future application of thermoplastic composites and forming processes. Prior knowledge of the field of thermoplastic composites, a degree in mechanical engineering or another engineering study is advantageous.
