Vacancy: Test Engineer
We are looking for a Test Engineer, motivated to work in a dynamic and international team. You will be part of a young team of engineers who perform research and development work in the field of thermoplastic composites for applications in the aerospace industry. As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in testing, validating, and characterizing innovative aerospace materials, with a focus on carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform material testing using a variety of methods such as mechanical characterization, thermal analysis, rheometry, microscopy, and 3D scanning.
- Analyze test results and prepare comprehensive reports for partners.
- Maintain, calibrate, and ensure the accuracy of testing equipment.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to design experiments and refine testing protocols.
- Stay up to date on the latest testing methods and integrate them into our processes to drive innovation.
Technical skills and background
- Education at MBO or HBO level in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Life Science.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Test Engineer or in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of composites and/or polymer science is an asset.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- EU citizenship is required.
