Advanced Forming of Thermoplastic Composites course
The TPRC will host an Advanced Forming of Thermoplastic Composites course on the 12th & 13th of February. This two-day course offers knowledge of the press-forming technology for thermoplastic composites. The course is organized in collaboration with AniForm Engineering.
During these two days of training all ins and outs of the press-forming processes will be taught in an interactive setting. The course participants will get answers to the following questions:
- Process parameter selection based on material properties;
- Effects of tool design on manufacturability and part quality;
- Influence of blank handling systems on formability;
- The cause of process-induced defects;
- The use of predictive process simulation tools.
This advanced level course is well-suited for engineers who are considering future application of thermoplastic composites and forming processes. Prior knowledge in the field of thermoplastic composites, a degree in mechanical engineering, or another engineering study is advantageous. The course includes course materials, lunches, drinks and dinner.
