Over 10 years of research & growth

We have a relatively short, but rich history. In just over 10 years, the TPRC has grown into a unique worldwide research center for thermoplastic composites.

  • Birth of the TPRC, making use of the facilities of the University of Twente.

  • Acquisition of own floor space on Business and Science Park.

  • Installation of the press, the autoclave and the Instron testing equipment.

  • Official opening of the TPRC laboratory double floor space.

  • Installation Coriolis fiber placement equipment. Doubled office space and opening conference room.

  • Opening welding laboratory.

  • Installation robotized induction welding equipment.

  • Installation Krauss Maffei injection overmolding machine.

  • International recognition with obtaining various awards.

  • The TPRC team has grown to 40 employees and PhD students.

The TPRC is a consortium of industrial and academic members active in the thermoplastic composites industry. We believe in thermoplastic composites as the material for lightweight manufacturing in large volumes. Our primary aim is to enable a more widespread use of thermoplastic composites by eliminating technological barriers.
