New article on the overmolding process and properties of thermoplastic composites

In this Research Features article, Prof Remko Akkerman, Faculty of Engineering Technology of the University of Twente and Scientific Director of the TPRC, describes the process of overmolding, the properties of thermoplastic composites and the importance of the interface. The behavior of the new structure around the interface between the different materials is of high importance, as it determines its suitability for applications and reliability of the structure.
