Vacancy: Research Engineer
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Research Engineer. You will be part of a young, dynamic and international team of engineers who perform research and development work in the field of thermoplastic composites for applications in the aerospace industry. In your role, you will be responsible for the execution of research projects related to the sustainable manufacturing of thermoplastic composite parts and structures. Ideally, you combine strong analytical and hands-on experimental capabilities with a passion for composite materials. You are able to communicate the progress and results of your work with our customers.
Technical skills and background
- Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science or an equivalent study
- Knowledge of (thermoplastic) composite properties and manufacturing processes involved
- Experience with the manufacturing of composite parts and specimens and the execution of experimental work
- Affinity with sustainable manufacturing and recycling of (thermoplastic) composites
- Fluent English in word and writing
- EU citizenship required
