Advanced Forming of Thermoplastic Composites
On October 22nd and 23rd, an Advanced Forming of Thermoplastic Composites course will be hosted by TPRC. This two-day course offers knowledge of the press-forming technology for thermoplastic composites. We organize this course in collaboration with AniForm Engineering.
During these two days, all the ins and outs of the press-forming processes will be presented in an interactive setting. The course participants will get answers to the following questions:
- Process parameter selection based on material properties
- Effects of tool design on manufacturability and part quality
- Influence of blank handling systems on formability
- The cause of process-induced defects
- The use of predictive process simulation tools
This advanced level course is well-suited for engineers who are considering future application of thermoplastic composites and forming processes. Prior knowledge of the field of thermoplastic composites, a degree in mechanical engineering, or another engineering study is advantageous. The course includes course materials, lunches, drinks and dinner.
This course is currently full, but we offer all of our courses twice a year. Feel free to reach out to be added to the waiting list for the next session.
